What determines the price of an LED screen
- Pixel pitch: halving the pitch roughly quadruples the number of LEDs per m². This is the biggest single cost driver.
- Indoor or outdoor: outdoor screens need higher brightness, IP65 sealing and stronger cabinets, but use larger pitches – so outdoor P5 is cheaper per m² than indoor P1.86.
- Components: LED chips, driver ICs (refresh rate), power supplies and cabinets differ between Standard and Premium series.
- Size and shape: standard cabinet sizes are the most economical; custom sizes need project-specific cabinets.
- Project scope: steel structure, electrical work, processor, installation, freight and content are separate items – compare quotes line by line.
How to compare quotations
- Check whether the price is per m² of active screen area and whether the receiving card and processor are included.
- Ask which refresh rate and brightness the quoted modules have.
- Ask for the warranty period and how many years spare parts will be available. Mobiled gives 3 years warranty and a 10-year spare-part supply commitment.
- Ask who services the screen in year four – the cheapest screen becomes expensive when nobody answers.
